Black and white photograph of a mother fox and her five pups. "A unique picture. The McNeill Ranch has a Vixen, the mother of five pups, who, by some freak of nature, took an unnatural stand regarding one of her family, in fact refused to abode the little animal and placed it back in the nest, when to his surprise the mother repeated the act. It was then decided to save the fox and it so happened that on the Ranch was a cat with a young family of kittens and strange to say the cat recieved the little stranger as one of its own; and it was later raised on a milk bottle" is written on the front of the postcard.
