[Minutes record a letter from French missionary Jean-Louis LeLoutre to the Nova Scotia government regarding a proposed 'reconciliation' between the Mi'kmaq and 'Messieurs les Anglois,' in which LeLoutre proposes (on behalf of the Mi'kmaq) an 'Espace de Terraine' in Acadia for Indigenous peoples to fish, hunt and 'etablir leur village and leur mission en paroisse.' The Council minutes describe LeLoutre's proposal as 'insolent and absurd']
